What these documents are:
Corporate certificates and register extracts are issued by a free zone registration authority and confirm that a company exists, its current structure and its standing.
When they are required:
- opening and maintaining bank accounts;
- confirming the authority of directors and the composition of shareholders to counterparties;
- transactions, tenders and corporate procedures;
- submitting documents to government and regulatory authorities;
- subsequent legalisation of documents for use outside the UAE.
Certificate of Incumbency
Confirms the current structure of the company: directors, shareholders, secretary. The exact content depends on the free zone.
Certificate / Letter of Good Standing
Confirms that the company is in operation, duly registered and has no outstanding issues with the registration authority.
Registry Extract / Extract from the Public Register
An extract from the register showing the company details as recorded in the free zone register.
- Select the free zone where the company is registered.
- Select the documents you need — individually or several at a time.
- Submit the request; we verify the company details.
- Pay the registration authority fee and the UPPERCASE fee.
- The documents are issued and handed over to you.
